Baby's First Christmas

Better late than never :)

Aaron and I hosted our first Christmas this year in the new house. We got a real tree, another first for us (as adults). And of course... it was this little's guys very first Christmas!!

We had my family over for Christmas Eve and (with a lot of help from Mel) had a nacho bar for Christmas Eve dinner.

Christmas morning started with opening all the presents under the tree while breakfast was cooking in the oven. We did a super easy, make the night before, french toast casserole.

There were sooo many presents!!

Aaron's family came over later that day. His dad, brother, uncle Brian and cousin Sean. Aaron cooked prime rib in the smoker. It turned out absolutely amazing! We served it with mashed potatoes, asparagus, and mac 'n cheese. Again, Mel saved the day by doing pretty much everything food related, while I tended to diapers, crying, naps, etc.

Family gatherings wouldn't be complete without my mom's minute to win it games. Everyone was a good sport and played all the games, even Aaron's family!

It was a great Christmas and I'm looking forward to many more family events in the months and years to come.
